This coffee is the result of the dream of the Ben Carlson family, a family "passionate about producing amazing coffee and caring for the well-being of the coffee farmers who grow it." Their Long Miles Coffee Project is helping build a strong coffee sector in one of the poorest countries in the world. Since moving to Burundi and building a mill, Long Miles coffees have been a finalist in their national competitions. To learn more, click here.
A winding six kilometre walk from the Heza washing station, Nkonge hill produces a unique coffee full of impact. Natural springs find their way out of the hill on Nkonge, making sure its soil is always well watered. Nkonge’s high elevation fosters a harder, slower growing coffee bean. This slow growth coupled with the nutrient rich soil on Nkonge produces a floral and sweet cup.
Exotic, adventurous, and exceptional.
